Public art trail 1 – Brighton Town Centre Discover the city’s public art by taking part in a public art trail. Visit artwork that has been commissioned across the city and take part in public art trails. Socially driven arts and cultural organisations across the UK are invited to apply for secured and unsecured loans between £150,000 and £1 million, with a maximum repayment period until May 2030.

An outdoor illuminated art gallery is set to take over Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront once again in 2021 with the theme, Rhythm of the Light. Created by local artist, Paul Curtis the huge artwork allows people to transform themselves into an iconic Liver Bird. Just a short train or ferry ride away in Wirral is the dainty village of Port Sunlight home of Sunlight Soap and the Lever Brothers. The Lady Lever Art Gallery houses Lord Leverhulme’s personal collection, featuring a wide range of fine and decorative arts. For conferences, exhibitions, business meetings, training and cultural events.

A key feature of the School of Arts and Cultures is that many of our staff and students have been, and in many cases continue to be, both academics and practitioners (e.g. musicians, artists, journalists, PR professionals and film-makers). Our musicians, artists and film-makers continue to perform and show their work on aworld stageand this applies to our students too. For example, in 2017 our folk music students accompanied our Vice-Chancellor on a trip to China where they performed to great acclaim. And next to the University there’s Weston Park Museum, where you can explore natural history, art and events from the city’s social history. For a further glimpse into Sheffield’s past, a visit to Bishops’ House is a must. Everywhere you look in AlUla, wondrous inspiration can be found — in its organic, red-rock shapes, its flourishing green palms and the startling contrast of bright blue sky against desert landscapes.
